This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students have spent the last few years learning through the COVID pandemic and have powered through it make masterful gains. My student are yearning to learn outside, and part for the limitation of an indoor traditional classroom.

The Garden in a Box will help my students learn how to grow and care for fresh produce.

We will work to decrease food insecurity and increase access to organic vegetables. Additionally my students will decide which seeds work best in or climate. My students will also learn how to preserve and can our vegetables. This process makes several connections including following directions, math and science.
