Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are amazing! They are diverse students who need your help. We love singing, moving, and playing to learn.
My students are third, fourth, and fifth-grade budding musicians, and they are very excited to learn.
Their backgrounds are all so different from each other. What's beautiful about them is their ability to work together, play together, and learn together.
All students deserve to learn with a rich set of materials, and you can help my students do just that.
My Project
Our current Orff instrumentation is very old, no longer manufactured, and in disrepair. We need new alto and soprano xylophones for some instruments that are playable!
Our current instruments are giving us the blues, but instead, you can help us play the blues!
Fifth graders need working instruments to explore the 12-bar blues progression. Fourth graders need the same instruments to explore bass lines and the I and V chords used in most songs. Third graders need instruments that will allow us to explore pentatonic melodies. These instruments will be used so much by all the students in our school, and they will be loved by all.
