My Students

This project will benefit over 600 kindergarten through third grade students in South Louisiana. The first question my students ask as they enter the music room is, “What instruments for we get to play today?” I can’t wait to tell them that we will be exploring Orff instruments!

My Project

Help my students become Orff explorers with this six piece set of Orff instruments. With these instruments, students will be actively involved in music making along with opportunities for collaborating, critical thinking, and creating. All skills needed in the 21st century! We will also be able to explore music throughout history along with exploring musical styles from around the world. The possibilities are endless! As the students grow in their Orff instrument playing skills, the greatest outcome will be that the children recognize that they are musical beings and feel confident in their musical abilities to explore further.
