This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I work with students with special needs in the Bronx. I would like to provide my students with sensory-motor chewy tools (to prevent biting) including the Sensory Chew Necklace by GNAWRISHING, 8 Pack Cylinder Chew Necklaces for Sensory Kids, Made from Food Grade Silicone for for Autistic, ADHD, Oral Motor Boys and Girls Children (Rainbow Color,) sensory pop toys, and fine-motor activities to enhance their learning experience like the Cut And Paste Activity Book for Kids, Scissor Skills to learn visual motor, visual perceptual, pre-handwriting, and scissor skills. The students vary in age from kindergarten to fifth grade. They have developmental delays, Autism, speech delays, and other delays which impact their learning style and ability. These tools will help create a safe environment, and motivate the children to learn and play and will enable them to excel and learn a lot this year. Please help us provide the children with this opportunity!
