This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are amazingly creative and enthusiastic about creating wonderful works of art! I get to teach 600 elementary aged artists every week in grades K-5. They absolutely love hands-on, engaging projects that challenge them to solve problems in creative and expressive ways.

Because of the large number of students I teach, it is difficult to provide materials for all of them to reach their potential as artists.

My artists deserve every opportunity to express themselves in creative ways they never thought were possible!

My Project

My amazing artists love to use and experiment with oil pastels in many different ways. They have become one of our favorite materials to use in the art room! We have used them so often that we are already out of them for the year! I use them with all 600 students in the six grade levels I teach. My students love how creamy they are and how easy it is to blend the vibrant colors together.

Having new oil pastels will help my students to create amazing works of art to be treasured and displayed for many to see!

My artists will be so excited to get to use one of their favorite materials in all new beautiful colors!
