This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I love my second graders! They are the ones that can and need to be molded into great productive citizens. They seek for guidance and love. They enjoy reading, using technology and math.
They are exceptional!
What makes them special is they come to me way below grade level in reading and math and at the end of each assessment or testing session their data indicates they scored higher than the other classes. When given the necessary supplies and incentives they are awesome.
My Project
The materials that I have selected will be used by students daily in my classroom and it will also allow me to create materials that motivate them. The work will be placed in centers and projects will be displayed on the walls.
The items that I am requesting helps create an environment that is conducive to learning.
This is what most students do not have on a daily basis.
My students love technology! They must also use paper and pencil to write about what they have done in each station. They will utilize the notebooks as Math and Writing Journals.
