This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
My students are hungry for knowledge. They have realized that numbers are a part of their everyday life, and they have a strong desire to learn as much as they can about math or any subject that interests them. They have discovered that knowledge is power...when you are full of knowledge the possibilities are endless. I have the next scientist, astronaut, lawyer or PRESIDENT in my classroom! Help strengthen the future by helping the students of today! Thanks in advance.
My Project
My students LOVE small groups; they ask to visit them every day. Our small groups give them the opportunity to learn from one another as well as talk about different ways to solve our math problems. We currently have a small tub in which we are attempting to put our center activities in. We are using rubber bands to secure the activities.
Having storage containers and ziplock bags to organize our centers will help my students locate the materials that they want to practice on and get to centers quicker.
These materials will make our small group area look neater and make materials easy to find. Thanks in advance for your help!
