Help me give my students one X-ACTO 15" Guillotine Paper Trimmer and one Ameriwood Home Marshall 3 Shelf Metal Rolling Utility Cart.
This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My students come from a low-income school, in Union South Carolina. In addition, these children are all diagnosed with a disability. Although they deal with difficulties both in and out of the classroom, they are always excited to learn something new and expand their knowledge. As their teacher, I like to engage them in curriculum across all modalities especially using technology. Many of these children do not have access to the Internet, let alone computers. Each day I try to engage them and allow them to grow not only as students, but as lifelong learners, so they can reach their potential.
Every classroom needs a paper trimmer and rolling cart. The paper trimmer is an item that probably works the hardest every school year. We are lucky to have a paper trimmer and rolling cart in the library, but it is time our room has its own!
I love inspiring my students with creativity and design.
This is my first year teaching high school and I would love to add some colorful elements into our classroom. The rolling cart will allow materials for projects to be stored in one location and easily moved to the next location. Also, the paper cutter will allow me to prepare materials ahead of time with ease. We have been working on becoming writers and these items will allow students be creative make their own books. I want to have students display work to show parents what is happening in our class and increase parent involvement at the high school level.
My students are creative and having these materials will help us show off our creativeness. This project will help me guide my students as creative thinkers! Thank you in advance for helping us learn and grow!
