Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
Our school is a small charter school of about three hundred kiddos. We are a Hebrew language academy and our kids start speaking and writing in Hebrew in Kindergarten! We have a diverse group of kids who all come from very different backgrounds. Our third grade classroom is small but very cozy and colorful. We have a quiet little corner with three comfy beanbags where we enjoy relaxing with a good book when we are not learning at our desks.
My Project
Right now, I teach two 3rd grade classes. I am trying to find a way to keep the children’s items all in one desk (they share desks) but in a nice and organized way. These containers will not only stop the clutter but it will allow the children to have their own space in their desks. The best part about having their items organized is it will help eliminate the amount of misplaced work and missing school supplies. The book bins will allow the classroom books to be organized so that I can create a tracking system for the books by genre.
