Our wonderful elementary school is in rural Idaho and our all day kindergarten class consists of 19 amazing students. We have 9 boys and 10 girls, all of which are excited to learn. Everyday is so exciting because they are so anxious to sing, dance, count and read!
Even at 5 years old they come from various walks of life, but they share a common love for school that makes it impossible to not want the best for them.
We are actively building the foundation for these boys' and girls' future. My dream for them is that they will not fear exploring or making mistakes. I want them to believe that they can work through any challenge, educational or personal because they believe in their capabilities.
My Project
Another school year is upon us! Last year we were able to add 2 Chromebooks to support online learning and this year I am hoping to do it again! Years ago there was a large push to get technology into our Idaho schools with successful results. The online curriculum and teaching tools have allowed students to build their fluency in core subjects and explore the world from the safety of their school environment.
As time passes our technology is falling far behind current standards, and as we found this year it is no longer compatible with the online tools we require.
My hope with this project is to begin the process of updating the numerous outdated products in my classroom. Your support is greatly appreciated!
