This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

I have a great group of medically fragile 7th and 8th graders.

We are always working hard to stretch our thinking and have meaningful conversations in the classroom.

My students have a variety of learning styles and unique educational needs.

It is my goal to help reach each and every one of them. By providing students with rigorous instruction I am challenging them and allowing them to explore the wonders of the world. We work collaboratively on a daily basis forming strong bonds between all of us to provide a safe environment where students understand that often times failure and risk taking lead to the highest levels of success.

My Project

The iPad would provide many uses for the students in my classroom. One is that they will be able to access online resources that they may not be able to access at home due to lack of technology. Our school is lucky enough to have purchased online subscriptions to multiple standards-based educational websites that will help all students grow academically.

The iPad will help to ensure that students are not only learning new valuable information but are practicing the skills needed for college and career readiness.

We are currently researching the human body, Revolutionary War and more! This technology will allow my students to have access to so much more information bringing their writing to a higher level.
