Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am blessed to work with amazing 3rd- 5th graders. While I teach mostly 4th graders, I do have an after school enrichment class for 3rd-5th. They are learning so much about themselves and technology at this age. Many of these students live in poverty and come from homes where their families are learning English and working more than one job to support them.
My students love to learn and share what they know.
They are passionate and curious with developing brains and personalities.
My Project
Hello and thank you for exploring my project request for student headphones! My students are dynamic and have a desire to learn. We use technology as a tool in our learning and to be prepared for the 21st Century Workplace and College. One of the obstacles we run into every school year is access to headphones.
Daily, students listen to a screencast or video or audiobook as a way to improve their reading skills, to learn more about the world around them, or to understand the directions of the assignment.
Where we hit a glitch is that most of my students do not have headphones, nor do they have the money to purchase headphones. Earbuds, while less expensive, can not be used by more than one student for hygiene reasons. Please help us by supporting our request for a class set of headphones!
