The Exceptional Children's Department currently serves 55 students with a multitude of disabilities.
Our students receive academic and related services based on individual needs. We are part of a second year charter school that serves our county and surrounding counties, in North Carolina. Our county is an economically disadvantaged county. Our students are always looking for creative ways to learn and grow!
My Project
These Chromebooks will allow for a more individualized learning tailored to the needs of each of our 55 student. Many of our students do not have access to technology outside of our classrooms. It is our duty as Exceptional Children's Teachers to make sure these students are given every opportunity to succeed.
It is proven that technology helps enhance the emotional and academic growth of students with disabilities.
When given the use to Chromebooks our students are one step closer to closing the educational gap between them and their non-disabled peers.
