Help me give my students a wonderful selection of new books to read. We recently attempted to re-organize our classroom library and discovered that so many books are in disrepair after 12 years of being read and loved.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I teach in a low-income/high poverty school district. Many of my students are faced with several challenges both in and out of the classroom. Over 60% of our students receive free and reduced lunch, and we are always battling low attendance concerns.
They love coming to school, and they love learning and improving every single day!
In addition to our core curriculum, we do lots of moving in our classroom, taking daily walks around the building as well as movement breaks inside the room.
My Project
Many of the students in my school do not have the experiences and opportunities as their counterparts in nearby wealthier districts and neighborhoods. By providing the kiddos with new reading materials, we can both inspire their love of reading and provide them with opportunities to see and experience the world through books.
We all know the magic of getting sucked into an incredible story and taking a journey by reading, and these kids deserve that opportunity, too!
Please consider donating today so that we can keep kids loving reading. This is the age where that tends to drop off for so many, so please help me to provide them with such incredible books that they never want to stop reading.
