My Students
My students are creative, thoughtful, sweet, and full of energy! They love to participate in classroom discussion, activities that engage them in learning, share their ideas, and be challenged to think outside the box. Each day, my students come to school ready to learn new things and take chances to reach their full potential both personally and academically.
My students are not defined on where they come from, but are defined on who they are and the places they are going to go. . Our school is a Title One School which means that more than 50% of the student population is on free or reduced lunch. Despite the odds, my students are resilient and love to learn.
My Project
Providing new and exciting books in my classroom library is one of the best ways I know as an educator to not only grow students' minds, but instill a love of reading. Dr. Seuss once said, "The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go." Reading allows children to escape to far off places, explore their imagination, and elaborate their own thinking! Thank you for helping us unlock the door to the world of imagination. Thank you for your support and opening the mind of readers and instill the love books!
