Opening the Door of Possibilities with Literacy

Help me give my students the Really Good Stuff Alphabet Arch Literacy Center, Learning Resources letter construction, touch and read cvc words math, write the letter activity center and word building blocks.

My Students

Kindergarten is such a big step in a child's life. It is exciting for both the parent and the child when they arrive on the first day of school. My students are eager to learn, and I am eager to teach them. I love to see the tremendous growth that comes in Kindergarten.

I want my students to gain a love for learning along with a solid foundation in reading skills.

We have seen that the pandemic has impacted students learning, but I believe that with the knowledge I have about teaching reading and having the right tools necessary, my students can make great gains with their reading skills despite the trials we have faced.

My Project

To help students get a strong foundation for reading, we need to work on their fluency with both letter names and sounds. The Alphabet Arch Literacy center and Learning Resources letter construction activities will help students to learn their letter names and how to write their letters for building words. Once students have mastered their letter names and sounds, we can work on blending and reading simple CVC words. These activities, like the touch and read cvc words match, letter crayons word building center, and write the letter activity center will help my students to master these skills.

With these resources I will be able to help fill the gap from learning loss due to the pandemic and get these students where they need to be with reading before they go to first grade.

Having the knowledge of knowing how we learn to read and having the right resources and activities, these students will succeed!
