This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have a great class of 30 students! Our elementary school is average size! We have over 425 students. They come from all different types of economic backgrounds with 3/4 of our students receiving free lunch. We have many unique situations that we embrace with love and open arms, but sometimes it still can be difficult for our students. Due to these special circumstances, we are constantly looking for new ways to enhance their learning and make school an awesome part of their day!

Our school has some of the brightest, most dedicated kids in our country!

We have many different cultural backgrounds at our school that we celebrate on a daily basis. All in all, our school is just a great place to be!

My Project

Storyworks is an amazing resource for my students! This magazine contains engaging nonfiction and fiction stories, as well as opinion writing pieces, that would really help my students get excited and motivated about what they are reading and writing. I plan to use this magazine to help my students become better writers and to expand their knowledge of the world we live in. The Intelliscanner and labels will be used to make checking out and returning books from our classroom library easier for students to do. Please help me instill a love of reading and writing in my students!
