My students need iPads to practice new skills in subjects such as literacy, math, science, art, and technology.

My Students

This is my first year to teach, but I imagine that my students will have creative minds with an excitement for learning. I know that my kindergarteners would benefit from various chances to interact with technology in a way that would allow them to all have the same experiences. This is a title 1 school where technology is not as heavily integrated for these students. With this, I would love an opportunity to be able to provide them with those experiences.

My Project

These iPads will allow my students to practice concepts in ways that they would not have access to otherwise. I hope to transform the learning experiences of my students with the use of various programs such as smartyants, drawing apps, and math games. I will use these tablets as a center to allow all students to have access to them throughout the week and ensure equal opportunity amongst all my students. I also hope to encourage technological understanding in my students by providing opportunities to navigate the iPads on their own during times such as free choice to allow the students to discover their own individual interests. I look forward to the many different ways I can help my students grow with iPads as my tool.
