Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am a special education teacher in an Integrated co-teaching classroom, and we work with students who have individualized education plans and students who do not. Many of our students do not have enough access to supplies and resources, and we are always looking to provide them with more.
We are a class filled with different learners who are always looking to help one another.
They are all sweet and treat one another with great respect and kindness. Our job is to provide students with the skills and strategies they need in order to find success, whether they are in special education or general education.
My Project
Our students do not have quick and easy access to color printers throughout the day. Having one in the classroom will allow us to create and print resources and materials for our students in color.
It will help us with differentiating and scaffolding class activities by being able to color code them when necessary.
Our students respond well to color coding and having different tools to support them in their learning. Students will also be able to print any projects created independently on our laptops. They will feel motivated and happy when seeing their work come to life in bright colors!
