We have the best students that a teacher can ask for. Our children come from all different kinds of backgrounds and cultures. Our program helps low income families with their children and their everyday lives. Some of our children are less fortunate than others and do not have access to technology, toys, TV or time spent outside.
We want to make sure we bring equal opportunity to each child in our learning center.
We learn about different topics each marking period. Right now we are learning about "reduce, reuse and recycle."
Since we cannot always go on field trips to see locations, we need to be able to show all the children simple little videos, songs or activities. We do not have this luxury on our tiny computer screen. Most children cannot see over another child's head, and although we try our best to seat them according to height, not everyone can see or hear over everyone else. We desperately need a remote controlled projector screen and a projector that will display what is already displayed on the computer screen. The projector itself needs to be wireless. Thank you!
My Project
Since we are a low budget program, not all of our students can go on field trips or afford to go on vacations with their families. There is so much to learn in the world. Right now, we are learning about "reduce, reuse, and recycle," and this projector and screen will make it so much easier for our students to learn about the sorting machine in the recycle facility and watch an artist turn everyday junk into beautiful art. We can experience all this through the projector and screen.
With a projector, we can show our children all the different things that tie into our lessons without having to break the bank on going on field trips.
Our program only funds so many field trips, but the world is full of wonder and knowledge that the children can be part of and enjoy!
