My Students

My children are growing up in a small, rural farm town. Jobs here are very limited and most people travel 30 minutes or more to get to their jobs. Most of our children are from homes where they are living below the poverty line. My goal is to provide a high quality education with experiences they may not be able to have outside of our classroom.

My kiddos are SO eager to learn and explore the world around them and each deserve the best I can give them!

They love to experience lots of new books, songs, dances, activities, toys, and hands-on experiences. I try to make each learning experience something that helps them develop a lifelong love for learning!

My Project

Students will use the listening center during our center play time. They will listen to books on CD while holding and looking at the book in their lap. They will learn to hold books properly, follow the reader by turning pages, follow pictures to keep up with the reader, and some children will begin to track print as well.

Children need to hear good examples of reading and my students will be provided with more opportunities to hear great reading by having this technology.
