Open Doors to Their Future.
My students need to have access to the world around them through the wonderful world of an iPad with keyboard. They will finally be able to "travel" and learn about their country.
Do you remember when computers were a rarity? Kids today are so lucky with the amazing technology around them. They can travel to any part of the country, research future careers or even meet other students from didn't countries.
My elementary classroom is very diverse.
We have 18 different languages at our school and many of our families come from different countries. The majority of our families are low income and do not have a lot of monitory items. Students crave knowledge and our school has limited resources to truly fulfill their desire for learning.
Many of these kids do not have access to technology. In society today, it is a must to be able to experience technology and understand how to use the Internet and applications to further their education and skills. This process can be done by completing research projects, using different apps to photo journal or even have a digital pen pal.
With the ability to use technology like a iPad, students will be not only be building their knowledge base, but also develop skills for their future in the "working world".
This could provide more opportunities to be success adults who are able to provide for their families.
DonorsChoose makes it easy for anyone to help a classroom in need. Public school teachers from every corner of America create classroom project requests, and you can give any amount to the project that inspires you.
