My Students
We are a small group of small town kids looking for some big opportunities. My students have passion for creative writing and reading. Their favorite lessons are writing in different genres. They are also infatuated with all things technology. We do many things with technology, and not having enough supplies can make it difficult.
I would love to help my students get to a place where they have everything they need and are able to learn in an environment that has everything they need.
Many of my students come from homes that can only provide the basics of what they need. It would be nice for them to feel that school is a place for them to enjoy and to learn.
My Project
With all the panic and confusion that COVID -19 has caused, I would like to give my students something to look forward to everyday. In the past, during sick times and previous pandemics, teachers created the idea for Open Air Classrooms. I would like to bring that idea back to light!
Students will be able to sit outside, breathe fresh air deeply into their lungs while being spaced apart to take their masks off.
Not only does this get us out of the classroom to use nature to learn our lessons, but it gives them a different idea about what school can be like.
These stools will allow my students to have a spot to sit that is off the ground. Something a little more comfortable. Each student will have their own stool to use everyday and they are small enough to keep in their lockers. Please consider helping us!
