Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students are all very talented. They love to create any type of art. They love helping the school with stage decorations and props for school productions.
My little ones usually learn a lot from art; they love to learn to connect the perception with motoric skills which is really helpful, and they do really well with this.
Boys and girls in our school are very creative as well; they can make a masterpiece out of very ordinary assignment. They are awesome!
My Project
The most inspiring project for 6-8 graders is the optical illusion, where they learn to create their own art. We will trim the paper with safe trimmer, then using black permanent markers we outline the main contour lines, and we shade it with Black set of colored pencils to show space and make it 3-D. As we plan to color and shade a lot, we need extra sharpener.
Optical illusion is very popular among my Art Students and for a long time they want trying to create this.
3-D Art is very tricky and requires a little bit of experience and we are ready to go! We worked hard to get prepared to start this Op Art Project! Op Art works are abstract, usually made in white and black, but this time we will try to make it colorful and give the impression of movement.
