Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach a Specialized Academic Instruction class (SAI) where I have students with various levels of skills and abilities across all subjects. They also have some really big behaviors that make learning hard for them. Sometimes, their behavior wreaks havoc on my classroom and it often ends up looking like a mini-tornado has run through it.

Materials my students break need to be replaced, however, the cost of making them comes completely out of my pocket.

In this project, I am requesting some classroom basic items that have been broken at some point this school year which include a label maker, stapler, timers and a three hole punch. I am also asking for batteries for these supplies. In addition, I am also requesting cleaning supplies as it's important to teach my students that they are responsible for taking care of our classroom to build our classroom community.
