Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students in my class are 9-10 year old 4th graders with a passion for communication through writing. They are thrilled to use their revising and editing skills in escape rooms. They work together as a team and really know how to defend their thoughts.
My students are amazing to work with, and their success is my success.
I've been working with students in this area for 10 years, and every year they surprise me with the level of commitment they have towards school. They deserve the best education!
My Project
Throughout the past few years, I have been exploring ways to do digital escapes and breakout rooms with my students.
Some would say I have become an expert at creating these engaging activities.
The 5 additional Chromebooks would allow more of my students an opportunity to complete their activities while I work with the other students in small groups.
My students have been able to experience over 50 online escapes I have created. These Chromebooks would take my students and digital escapes to the next level. In fact, one way I differentiate is by allowing some students to create digital escapes. The Chromebooks would provide a valuable resource to allow my students to be creative.
