My Students

School 20 H.L. School is a public elementary school in Rochester. Three hundred and seventy-eight children attend School 20 H.L. School and are mostly Black, non-Hispanic, Hispanic, and White, non-Hispanic. Eight percent of the School 20 H.L. School students have "limited English proficiency." Ninety-five percent of the three hundred and seventy-eight students here are paying reduced lunch prices. The student to teacher ratio at School 20 H.L. School is 13:1. Our students struggle with academics, but we are constantly trying new things to motivate them.

My Project

This year, our classroom was given a full cart of Chromebooks for student usage. While we are very excited about all the different ways that we can incorporate Google Classroom and online learning into our daily routine, my students do not have headsets to match the Chromebooks!

In order to get these Chromebooks up and running in my classroom, I need a headset for each student.

I can't wait to use online tutorials and games with my class to extend their classroom instruction. Being able to hear the videos is essential to learning. With headphones, students can adjust the volume to a level that suits them.
