My Students

Hello! I am a first grade classroom teacher from a Title One School, with almost 50% of the students qualifying for free or reduced price lunch. I would describe my students as kind-hearted, passionate learners that are very active! They enjoy moving around the classroom and appreciate positive attention and choices.

Many of my students come from homes that face challenges beyond their control.

I am looking for simple ways to help them become inspired and grow as learners. I want them to come to school and see a place that is safe, comfortable and flexible to meet their needs.

My Project

First graders love to learn in concrete ways, yet they also are excited to explore through the world of technology. They are also beginning to learn how to work with partners and how to persevere in problem solving. The Osmo Numbers Game and the Osmo Coding Awbie Game will help my students experience the best of both worlds.

Our classroom recently received an Osmo Starter Kit and it has been amazing! This station stays busy all the time. Students enjoy the hands-on tiles and immediate, positive feedback they receive when they are playing. It is learning in disguise!
