Students at my school come from low socioeconomic families with parents who are working multiple jobs. My students often have to take care of younger siblings and be leaders in their homes.
School can be a place where my students can smile, laugh, and have fun.
My classroom is more than just a place for learning content. It's a community where my students develop life skills, become positive members of a community, and learn independence. I work to provide opportunities for students to develop, express, and influence decisions in the classroom community.
This year, my teaching partner and I are working hard to provide a variety of robotics and coding opportunities for our students. We are working to integrate robotics and coding into a variety of content areas in the classroom and in extracurricular clubs. Robotics and coding has increased engagement and buy-in for all students.
These EV3 sets will help to teach teamwork, problem solving, and self-confidence for all students.
We have used Scratch, Cublets, and Bee Bots with our students and seen the effects for students of all ability and skill levels. These MINDSTORM EV3 Core Sets will help to further all students' learning and growth in robotics and coding, as well as help them to build essential skills such as teamwork, problem solving, and self-confidence.
