Ms. Jargiello from Buffalo NY is requesting computers & tablets through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.
Help me give my students their own tablets to use for the school year so they can enhance their learning any time of the day.

My students are a diverse group of children. They are Somali, Bengali, Swahili, Arabic, Puerto Rican, and American. We are a happy learning community.
The students are motivated to learn.
They want their brains to grow. Our class New Year's Resolution is to have a Growth Mindset.
We talk about it daily! When they finish class assignments, they raise their hands and ask, "May I find something productive to do?" We talk about how important it is to always be productive.
The classroom is THEIR classroom. I know if I'm ever not in the classroom, they could execute the school day, because they truly feel ownership, not only in materials and space, but in routines and expectations.
Most of my students' families face economic hardships and poverty, but these children come to school and are ready to learn every day and they deserve the best learning experiences! Their academic abilities range. Some of the students speak limited English. Regardless of their differing abilities, ALL of my students are excited and motivated to learn and succeed in Second Grade.
In our classroom we have a set of 10 iPads that students must share. My students are excellent at sharing, and never complain, but often when they are using technology, and it's time to "switch" so another student can access these tools, they are disappointed.
One to one technology would provide every student in my classroom with a technological tool they could call their own for the school year.
There are many programs I utilize that interact with my students and right now I have to have my students partner up. I can not get a true assessment of what individuals are learning or curious about because they are not truly working independently.
These Amazon Fire tablets would provide every student with a tool they could use for every subject.
