"One Team Powered By S.T.E.A.M." is our motto at my intermediate school, which serves 3rd-5th grades. Our students are motivated problem solvers and engineers who possess a vast interest in STEM related educational opportunities.
Even though our student population is comprised of 58% free and reduced lunch, unfortunately, we do not receive Title I funding to support school-wide initiatives, because it is allotted to the K-2 schools.
However, regardless of barriers, our students continue to excel in the state!
Throughout the school year, I have been working diligently to create a space for our students that will host a variety of STEM and STEAM related activities such as coding, LEGO robotics, and much more. The space we have dedicated to this, however, is an empty classroom in a portable building that hosts a cold tiled floor.
With this requested STEM blue rectangle carpet, I will love providing our students with a cozy sitting space to sit, create, design, and program in our Maker Space.
Collaborating with DonorsChoose.org, we hope you can help provide our students with a welcoming, engaging, and comfortable learning environment!
