This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Cheerleading is more than just a sport, it is a lifestyle.
The girls are committed to being role models for the younger students on campus through their academics, behavior, and sportsmanship. They put in the time and effort it takes to not only succeed in the classroom but also on the field.
Being a coach in a low-income K-8 school has opened my eyes and heart to the differences and struggles that my students and their families face. By providing them an escape through cheer I am providing my students with a tremendous opportunity to learn, explore, and see dreams become a reality.
My Project
The cheer products selected will help our squad look uniformed and complete. Cheer is a competitive sport and requires a lot of time and effort. The squad serves as role models for the school and community, and it is important that they look the part as well. With these new bows, shorts, bags, and pom-poms, the girls will stand out and make everyone want to cheer!
Our current cheer equipment is over four years old and due to the girls wearing it to school for game days and pep rallies, it is beginning to fall apart.
The girls on the squad are making a year-long commitment to the sport, and it is important that they have the items necessary to fulfill their commitment to the team as well as the school.
