I am so honored to teach at a Title I school in Texas. My babies are incredible humans who love to learn and love being in school every day. They work hard each day and put forth their best effort. A majority of my students benefit directly from this amazing program. Though my students' home lives may not be ideal, they come to school eager to learn about the world and how to make it better. I absolutely love being with them and I am so glad I chose a career where I can love on them. However, my students are unable to have the experiences that other students are privileged to have.
My students are creative, spontaneous and worthy.
They deserve the world, and I want to give it to them. My students are a diverse group who require being taught with a variety of learning strategies and environments. The self-confidence that we are empowering our students with will ensure they are able to do anything they put their minds to.
My Project
This rug features features a complete 120 grid, so they’re perfect for all sorts of math activities, from counting and operations to place value. We could even use this rug for classroom organization or when it’s time to line up—just have kids stand on their own squares! There are so many activities that we could do with this rug!
This rug will help develops skills in counting, comparing numbers, base 10 and operations.
My students and myself were hit hard by Hurricane Harvey. Many students were flooded in and lost their homes. We were out of school for over a week due to wide-spread flooding.
