My Students

My students are from a very low socioeconomic group and all face educational challenges.

My students are struggling to learn basic reading and math skills.

They are identified as being behind their peers in these academic areas. We live in a high-poverty rural area. In this economic climate, extras like a camera would be beyond the ability of my students' parents to provide for our class use.

My Project

We are requesting a simple digital camera and two memory cards. This will provide my students with a piece of equipment they can operate themselves to document their projects and successes. The memory cards will allow us to use the camera for several events before we need to download or print photos.

This is a basic piece of equipment that will provide my students with many learning opportunities.

They will be able to document their progress. We will be able to create a record of what we have learned during the year.
