My Students

Our school encourages a Growth Mindset in all of our students. The students in my classroom are hard-working readers and digital citizens who come from diverse backgrounds and have a wide range of educational needs.

Many students face obstacles making reading difficult for them.

Using that Growth Mindset, they have persevered and overcome many of those obstacles. My students come to class with enthusiasm and a desire to become global citizens. They enjoy reading novels that challenge their world views and have worked to raise hundreds of dollars to bring clean drinking water into African villages.

My Project

My students are LOVING the flexible seating options that I have in my classroom. They love being on the floor, at a table, or standing up to work.

The problem is, there just aren't enough options!

By adding one more standing table, more students will have the ability to choose their spot, especially in larger classes! Some students just need to be able to stand and do their work, these desks allow them to do that without being a distraction to others around them.

In addition, my students make posters and write on the classroom board, so we are are in need of brand new, reliable markers.
