This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

When students enter my classroom, they are busy learning until the time they leave. My goal for all my students is to be successful.

I want to do what I can to make learning fun and engaging by providing a variety of books that students are interested in.

Students can become life long readers when they are provided with opportunities to read books of their personal interest. By helping my classroom have more book choices, students can deepen their love of reading.

My Project

Students make a wish list of books they would love to read. Most of the time, they offer them in the library but they're always checked out. Having these books in our classroom library helps them have a greater opportunity of reading the books they love and deepening their love of reading. I buy many books but cannot afford to buy too many at time.

This year I have 87 students and there is a much greater need for more books.

I provide students time daily to read and enjoy books, this helps build their stamina as well as take their mind off of their daily struggles.
