This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Our community school is very diverse where many backgrounds and languages are represented. For most of our students, English is not their primary language. As a result, my students face challenges both in and out of the classroom. Despite the challenges they face on an everyday basis, I am always looking to provide my students with meaningful learning experiences.

My students show up to school excited and ready to learn.

It is my goal to help my students not only reach the next reading level, but to keep my students motivated to learn.

My Project

In my classroom, everyone wants to sit in that one really comfortable chair. The chair that I am requesting will be just that! Recently, on my own, I have purchased a high computer table for the front of the room to allow for a better working space for my students to use during whole group lessons. As a result, I need one higher chair to fit this table.

With having an interactive classroom, my students are constantly coming to the front of the room to display their work through the use of our document camera.

This chair will allow my students to sit comfortably as they develop communication skills needed to complete assignments and learn from their peers.
