This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I work at a Title I, low-income middle school. I teach a 6th grade enrichment special needs class. I have 15 students in my class. My students all have different learning disabilities. I love that my class is like a little family. We enjoy learning together. My students all learn in different unique ways.
My job can be a little challenging but my students make it worthwhile.
They inspire and encourage me daily. My students don't always receive the necessary supplies needed to learn because they are in a low income neighborhood school. I would like to change that for my students.
My Project
This will help equip our classroom with the necessary supplies needed to run an effective classroom and learning environment. Often my student's parents don't have the necessary funds to supply students with paper, pencils, markers, and etc. throughout the entire school year.
The pencils, paper, pens, markers, and other supplies that are requested will be used for everyday individual activities, group activities, worksheets, projects, and lesson that are being taught on the board.
Students will be able to learn in an environment where they are not restricted of supplies. This provides a positive and worry free atmosphere for my students.
