Mr. Houle from Pittsfield MA is requesting lab equipment through DonorsChoose, the most trusted classroom funding site for teachers.

One Fish at a Time

My students need a fish tank with fish and supplies to create a real-life, hands-on experience for our STEM program. This fish tank will provide my students with the necessary equipment to create a living environment.

My Students

My students are amazing learns who strive to do the best they can with the limited supplies they are given. My high school Special Education science classes are in need of a fish tank and supplies to support their learning of biology and the environment.

My students enjoy working with their hands, as well as learning about basic concepts in math and science.

While they don't have the necessary supplies to combine both, I would love to be able to provide them with the tools they can use to combine science concepts with real-life, hands-on experience that they may not have otherwise.

My Project

While my students have a curriculum for biology, they don't have the hands-on items to dive deeper into biology and the world of living creatures. This is a necessary process for them, as they learn best from hands-on, real-life situations and activities, that, without this fish tank will not be provided to them.

Using this fish tank, and the necessary supplies to go with it, my students will be able to observe living creatures in their habitat and be able to understand how they survive.

This is a necessary for them, as they will be able to understand what we are talking about in biology classes, and will be able to put their knowledge to real-life practice!
