Instilling a love for reading and writing in second grade is a top priority in the twenty-first century. A comfortable space helps to support our readers and writers.
This is where we definitely need your help and support to make this school year a success.
My second grade students live in a small rural community. The community is so small that it doesn't even have a grocery store! Likewise, the school budget is limited, and we cannot purchase supplies beyond our very basic necessities.
My Project
We need an inviting atmosphere where we can communicate and learn from each other. We are requesting four circle benches and two cube benches for active storytelling! By having seating that is flexible and attractive, all of our friends will feel comfortable creating and communicating many stories together. Storytelling will rock in this space! Our new modern seating will invite us to CREATE and RETELL stories all day long! Classmates will meet in this inviting space to write and share stories they've created.
We will use our technology in this warm and enjoyable area to collaborate and write stories together.
