My Students

My students are active, vivacious, energetic 2nd-grade learners. They come into my classroom with unique characteristics, skills and life experiences. But they all have a common goal: to be successful in life. They have big dreams and I feel that with the appropriate tools I can help facilitate those dreams. Our theme this year is: "Stand Up, Stand Out! Hero In Training!" This theme is displayed throughout our school and embedded in all subjects. We believe that literacy is at the heart of all learning!

My Project

Do you remember listening to the classic stories like the Three Little Pigs and Goldilocks And The Three Bears? I want my 2nd-grade students to experience these classics in a way that I never did. As my students listen to me read these stories, watch me animate the characters, ask questions and complete the stem project my students will build critical language and literacy skills, boost creative expression and master early engineering concepts. By using the hard covered books, storytelling aids, and exciting STEM activities, I will be able to integrate multiple subject areas such as STEM, literacy, creative expression, and social-emotional development into one action-packed lesson!
