Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I love my students because they are little children ages 5 and 6; they are respectful and lovely. They are in kindergarten and are special because they come from different Latino countries and different cultures. They are learning a second language and about a new culture. I'm trying to obtain the appropriate materials for my students because their families are low-income.

I teach my students math, reading, literacy, science, and social studies.

In math, my students are learning about addition and subtraction. In literacy, they are learning about letters, letter sounds, frequency words, how to label pictures, and write sentences.

I need the whiteboard to write on it to explain the lesson to my students and to allow them to solve the math problems and write letters, letter sounds, and sentences. The dry erase markers are for my students to use to write on their own small whiteboards that we have in the classroom. They practice math and phonics on their whiteboards in small and/or large groups. The folders and the copy paper are to keep my students' work organized so I can see their learning progress.
