Hello, I teach reading to a group of fabulous 2nd and 3rd grade students who are eager and excited to learn.

I am entering a situation where the teacher before me taught lower level students and I now teach upper grade students. Most of the equipment and resources are geared toward kindergarten and first grade. However, I am teaching 2nd and 3rd grade.

In my class I work with small groups of students. During this time I try to provide individual attention and instruction. We also participate in centers so that each time a child visits me at my teacher table they receive one on one instruction. By adding a listening center to my room my students will be able to enhance their reading fluency, comprehension and hopefully create lifelong readers!
