Help me give my students novels they can relate to and have a safe place to store their books. The four sets of 7 novels allow us to have literature circles as a daily station in our rotations.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

-Benjamin Franklin
We are a Title I school where 100% of the students qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. Our students live in a low-income, high poverty neighborhood. Our middle school has a range of students that come from various sociocultural backgrounds.
Students enter my classroom at varied levels of traditional reading, writing, and mathematical skills; few are advanced for middle school standards, while some are still basic and working hard to attain grade level mastery. Most, if not all, of my students will be the first in their family to go to college. However, this encourages them to become successful members of their community and our society by preparing themselves with adequate skills to prep for college.
My Spanish students are exceptional. They are inquisitive and full of spirit. My student show up to class every day ready to learn and do their best.
My Project
Help them be eligible for the CA Seal of Biliteracy by the time they graduate! The middle school requirement for Spanish students is to read a minimum of 3 grade level novels in one academic school and pass thier Spanish class with a C or better to prove they are at performing at a level to attain the CA Seal of biliteracy. The books requested are all at grade level and help them prove they are literate in both English and Spanish!
My students are enthusiastic readers who want to challenge themselves to learn more.
Along with reading the novels they must write novel summaries and carry discussions about the novels they read.
They attend an inner city middle school, where most will be the first in their families to graduate from high school. Their goal is to go to college and come back to be positive role models.
