This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

The elementary school that I work at is such a special place! This year is our first year being open and we have hit the ground running. Our students come to school each day ready to take on another day of learning. I am proud to say that every staff member at my school strives to provide the best place to learn for our students.

My goal is to create a school and classroom environment that is inviting, engaging, meaningful and full of passion!

My classroom is a safe place where learning is fun but adds meaning to their lives.

My students are the most enthusiastic group of students I have had yet. Each and every one of them brings something unique to our classroom. Despite coming from low income backgrounds, they deserve the very best! Thanks to your donations, I will continue to be able to do whatever I can to help my students succeed and move on to be successful members of society!

My Project

This year, the third and fourth graders are fortunate enough to go on an amazing trip to Raleigh, NC! The proceeds raised by this project will go towards the transportation, admission, and dinner costs of the trip. This trip will provide an authentic way for our students to learn about the history and government of our state.

This trip has it all- the state capital and legislative building, the science museum, history museum, and an adventure in a new city!

Many of our students have not had the opportunity to travel outside of Charlotte, NC. Your donations will make it possible for our students to travel and learn all at the same time.
