Help me give my students practice fluency in reading. They will improve in reading accuracy, rate and expression with these fun, colorful, and engaging materials.
My students are children that are in grades K-5th. They are developing readers and working hard to develop the basic foundational skills in reading.
When students develop the foundational phonological and phonics skills for reading, the next step is to apply these phonological and decoding skills into text and develop fluency while reading.
Fluency is the bridge between phonics and comprehension.
These materials will provide opportunities for students to apply their phonics knowledge with fun, colorful, and engaging passages designed to develop that fluency bridge. They will be able to utilize these passages, reader's theaters, and books with partners as they practice applying their word decoding knowledge.
