My students need 6 Mathshark electronic problem solving games.

Excitement, enthusiasm, and enjoyment are all emotions which will fill our classroom if we are lucky enough to receive a donation. I am a second grade teacher with a classroom of 14 smiling faces. My students are with me all day because we are a self-contained classroom. Our school is a small community school with an awesome staff of teachers. Our principal is hands-on and the kids adore her because she makes herself available. She does not mind listening to their stories or answering their questions. She is never to busy for them or her staff. This is what sets our school apart from the others in the county.
This year is really difficult because there is no supply money for teachers. The money was used to save teaching jobs and keep class numbers down. I am one of the teachers who was able to keep her job because of this decision. So, I have to search for ways to fund learning opportunities for my kids.
We need the Math Shark electronic problem solving games. In working with my students, I have observed that over half of them are not fluent with basic facts. The Math Shark will give them the practice they need and increase fact fluency. Also, the Math Shark is similar to a hand held electronic game. My students will be enthusiastic about practicing their facts this way.
Donating these items to our classroom will make a difference in the lives of these children. It will give them a solid math foundation, which is the prerequisite for school achievement. My goal is to give each of my students the feeling of success. You can help me do this by funding our project.
