Help me give my students Flash Furniture Student Desks so they can have the flexibility to make groups to collaborate!
This project expired on January 29, 2019.
Hooray! This project is fully funded
My 3rd graders are energetic and eager to learn new things! They enjoy talking with each other and working in groups. It's very exciting to hear students discussing a topic and making discoveries as they work together and share their ideas.
Even though we are in a small school with a limited budget, I want them to be able to try new things, investigate their own interests with classmates, and create a real love for learning.
Together we are looking forward to a great new year!
The single-student desks are a wonderful way to allow the kids to move their desk and all their supplies easily and quickly to form new groups. Since all students have different academic strengths, it's important to switch who they work with as they switch the subjects they are working on.
Working with partners or teams is essential for students to clarify their own learning as well as being able to learn from each other.
The flexibility of being able to create any arrangement with these desks will allow us to make groups from just two kids up to making a circle for all to participate in. Furthermore, some students need a quiet space to concentrate. These students will be able to move their desk to a calm and quiet spot and allow them to focus independently. As for the felt pads, attaching these to the feet of their chair and table legs will let the rearranging of seats be smooth and quiet.
