Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

This heavy duty cargo wagon will help us transport important equipment on performance days. With this wagon, we can wheel all the drumline players' stands out to the bleachers for football games in one trip while they carry their drums. We can bring a case of water bottles along a parade route on a hot afternoon in June. We can schlep equipment out to East Rock Park to make sure we are set up to cheer on the runners during the IRIS 5K fundraiser event.

Ever watch a Marching Band and think, "how do they know where to stand to create such cool formations?" The answer, like the answer to so many other questions, is: PRACTICE!

When we rehearse out on the field or inside the gym, these spot markers will give us a helpful target while we learn our formations and routines. We will know where to go and strengthen our muscle memory for when it's time to perform. And of course, we hope you enjoy the show!
