Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
The students who will be benefiting from this project are some of the most driven and hardworking kids I know. They never back down from a challenge, both in education and in life. Despite challenges, students are ready to prove to themselves that they will be successful. What I admire most about my students is that they don't let their environment set them back.
The students attend a Title I charter school in Missouri where 100 percent of the students receive free or reduced lunch.
These students deserve, more than anything, the resources that they are lacking.
My Project
We are only 5 iPads away from being a 1:1 classroom! This iPad I am requesting will allows students to advance their learning with new ways to showcase their skills. Whether they are used for researching a topic during genius hour, or continuing to practice multiplication facts until mastery, students will love getting to use an iPad for learning.
Technology is leading education to new heights and my students want to join in!
The iPad will allow for more centers during guided math and guided reading. Students will be able to access more websites to practice the skills that they were taught.
Most importantly, the iPad will be used to increase students engagement and lead to more independent learning!
